A Super Rating refers to the fineness of yarn used to weave the fabric. The higher the Super Rating the finer the yarn that makes up the fabric.
Our luxury line of fabrics often has higher Super Ratings (up to 150). This makes the hand feel of the fabrics softer and smoother and can create a slight sheen to the fabric overall. Due to the nature of the finer fiber, fabric with a higher super number can be slightly less durable meaning we wouldn't necessarily recommend it for your everyday work suits.
For special events, luxury suits with a high super rating are a great option to give a refined and polished look. A great example would be our Harrogate line of suits; they contain a 5% cashmere blend for that ultra-soft hand feel and have a super rating of 140.
