Types:
We have several shirt types available - Dress shirts (Luxury, Premium, or Seasonal fabric), Casual shirts, Tuxedo shirts, Camp shirts, as well as Henley shirts and Sweaters (in our Knitwear collection).
Dress Shirts:
Perfect for wear under a suit or on its own, dress shirts are available in Luxury, Premium, or Seasonal materials, and have the widest range of customizations available.
Collar
Medium Point: Medium Point collars are the most versatile and popular option, as it complements most face shapes and tie knots.
Spread: Spread collars are well-liked and flattering on most people - they fall at a wider angle, work very well for wear with ties, and are the default selection for shirts (should you choose to save default customizations).
Cutaway: Cutaway collars fall at an even wider angle than the spread collar, and is a matter of personal preference.
Other collars: Pinned and Club collars also work well for wear with suits, depending on your style preference (please note that collar pins are sold separately). Button down collars are the best choice for Oxford shirts, and Mandarin collars are an excellent choice for comfort.
Construction
Standard: The Standard Collar and Cuff construction is fused, to maintain structure - best for business or dress attire.
Soft: The Soft Collar and Cuff customization produces your shirt with no fusing - giving a more casual look and feel.
Pockets
We offer shirts with No Pocket, a Patch Pocket (singular), or Flap Pockets. Please see below for images of each option.
Sleeve Length
Long Sleeve: Your standard (and the default) choice for a dress shirt.
Short Sleeve: All Dress shirts can be produced with a short sleeve option, to stay stylish in warmer weather - this option is also the default choice for our Casual shirts.
Cuffs
Two or One Button Cuffs: The difference between these three choices is minor and a matter of personal preference.
French Cuffs: French Cuffs are best for formal meetings or events, and need to be worn with cufflinks (please note that cufflinks are sold separately, and can be found here).
Shirt Length
Dress Shirt: a Dress Shirt is longer overall, and include an extended front and back length to stay comfortably tucked into pants.
Casual Shirt: Casual shirts are shorter, and have a slightly curved hem - as they are meant to be worn untucked.
Trim
Trim: You might also choose to add a solid or patterned fabric to highlight the inside of your shirt's collar and cuffs. Of course, we also have the option of "none", should you prefer not to add trim.
Monogram
Length: a Dress Shirt is longer overall, and include an extended front and back length to stay comfortably tucked into pants.
Shape: We offer shirt monograms in either a Standard (sans serif) style, or a diamond shape. Please note that monograms are produced in the exact order they are submitted, so individuals wishing for a diamond monogram with their surname as the largest letter should submit accordingly (i.e., Chris C. Tate would need to submit their diamond monogram as CTC).
Color: We offer our shirt monograms in white, silver gray, light blue, royal blue, red, purple, or black.
More Shirt Customizations
White Collar and Cuffs: When selected, your shirts will use a white fabric for the cuffs and collar instead of the fabric of the shirt, adding contrast and a vintage style.
Locker Loop: A collegiate staple, perfect for hanging your shirt up to avoid wrinkling in a pinch. Commonly found on Oxford style shirts (along with unstructured button-down collars).
Centre Pleat: A center box pleat allows for a casual look and roomier fit.
Placket: Your shirt could be customized with either a standard or seamless placket. The Standard Placket is the most common style, involving a fabric strip with stitches down each side. The Seamless Placket is the cleaner option where the shirt front is folded over to show only a creased edge, giving the shirt a more formal look.
