While we have other articles outlining our suit lapels more in depth (including What Lapel Should I Choose and What are the Widths of your Suit Jacket Lapels), we also thought it would be a great idea to include a full list of our available suit customizations to help our clients see what they're picking from.
Tier:
We have two Tiers available for all of our suits - Standard, or Make It A Tuxedo
Standard
Standard suit, which will be produced with matching jacket + pants (with an optional vest you can select during purchase)
Make it A Tux, which will add several tuxedo style customizations to your selection - including contrast satin lapel, a tuxedo waistband, and tuxedo pants striping. All Make It A Tux satin choices will be produced with Black satin trim, as well as black satin buttons.
Canvas Type
Half Canvas: This option will include canvassing in the upper half of the jacket, as well as in the jacket's lapel. This tends to be a popular choice for more traditional suits, allowing for shape retention, a clean drape, and durability.
Unconstructed: Unconstructed jackets only include canvassing in the shoulders. This allows for a more casual look, as well as more breathability. Please note that this option will prevent the selection of roped or soft shoulders in the shoulder type section.
Shoulder Type
Standard: Our standard shoulder includes padding for professional and classic style.
Roped: Our roped shoulder includes the same padding as our standard option, but the sleeve rises slightly above the shoulder itself - it accentuates the shoulders, and is more traditional.
Soft: Our soft shoulder includes less padding for a more casual look.
Lapel Type
Notch - This style is a tried-and-true favorite that works for casual and corporate looks alike. Opt for the notch lapel if you're looking to create a subtly stylish look. Looks great on a 1, 2 or 3 button single-breasted jacket. Ours measure 2.75 in / 7 cm wide at the widest point.
Peak - A classic, bold statement lapel that's typically suited for more formal events, but can be worn to the office as well. This style pairs nicely with a double-breasted jacket. Ours measure in at 2.75 in / 7 cm wide at the widest point.
Notch Slim - A slimmer, more casual notch. You'll know it best from those slim cut Italian suits. Best suited for a smaller frame. Ours measure in at 2.36 in / 6 cm wide at the widest point.
Notch Wide - A bigger, bolder version of the notch that compliments a larger frame nicely. Great on a 1, 2 or 3 button single-breasted jacket. Ours measure in at 4.00 in / 10 cm wide at the widest point.
Peak Wide - The wide peak lapel is a bigger, bolder version of its thinner counterpart above. Taller men should typically opt for a wider lapel. This style also pairs nicely with a double-breasted jacket. Ours measure in at 4.00 in / 10 cm wide at the widest point.
Shawl - Only available on Dinner Jackets, Tuxedos, or Make It A Tuxedo suits, this is the most formal lapel of the bunch, perfect for a black-tie gala. Ours measure 2.75 in / 7 cm wide at the widest point. Please note that the shawl lapel is incompatible with double breasted or three-button rollover closures.
Chest Pocket
Welted - A welted pocket is the standard chest pocket
Patch - A rounded patch pocket is slightly more casual than the standard welted option. We would recommend this option if you choose patch pockets for your hip pockets.
Buttons
Two button - Two button suits are the perfect all-rounder option, typically your best choice,
One button - One button suits are a little more trendy and modern than two button - also a popular choice for tuxedo or dinner jackets.
Three button - Three button suits are a matter of preference, and work well for a taller frame.
Three button roll-over - Three button roll-over suits give a nod to traditional tailoring, and include an unused third buttonhole on the lower lapel.
Double Breasted (Four or Six Button) - Double breasted jackets have a bolder, classic style - we recommend pairing these options with a peak or peak wide lapel.
Button Color
Button color is a matter of personal preference, but brown buttons are recommended for most suits. Black buttons are typically recommended for black or very dark suits, while cream buttons are ideal for lighter color suits. Our satin black buttons are reserved (and are the only button type for) Make It A Tuxedo suits.
Pocket Style
Flap pockets - Appropriate for any occasion, flap pockets are versatile and traditionally the standard on suit jackets.
Jetted pockets / No pocket flaps - Jetted pockets are more polished and sleek, ideal for formal wear.
Slanted pockets (with or without flaps) - Slanted pockets, either with or without pocket flaps, are dynamic and sporting - fashion forward and perfect for smart casual or weekend looks.
Shoulder Type
One or Two Vent - One or Two Vent jackets are interchangeable, and a matter of personal preference.
No Vent - No vent jackets are perfect for dinner jackets or tuxedo jackets.

More Customization Options
Pick Stitching - Pick Stitching is a visible line of stitching that follows the edge of your lapels and other key features of your jacket (in particular, your pocket flaps - if flap pockets are chosen)
Waist Pocket - a waist pocket, also known as a "ticket pocket", is a third exterior jacket pocket around 2/3 the size of the other two main pockets. This pocket will use the style chosen in the Pocket Style customization.
Functional Sleeve Buttonholes - Also known as Surgeon's Cuffs, having working button holes on your suit sleeves is the quintessential symbol of a custom made suit. Unbutton the first button to display this feature stylishly in public.
Collar Felt Color - Add a personalized touch to your suit jacket with contrasting collar felt. Available with matching collar felt, brown, burgundy, navy, light gray, black, white, dark blue, light blue, red, or green.
Buttonhole Color - Add character and draw attention to your functional sleeve buttonholes with contrasting stitching. Please note that the same color will also be applied to your jacket's boutonniere. Available with matching (non-contrast), beige, brown, burgundy, lavender, blue, light gray, black, navy, dark gray, or white.
Pants Customizations
Pleats
None, or One - INDOCHINO recommends pants without pleats (flat front). For those preferring pleats, please do so accordingly.
Pants Hem
Cuff or Blind Hem - Hem finishes are personal preference, and serve a different purpose for different pants. For dress pants, a blind hem is the standard finish but cuffs are good for taller men, as they help break the body up into sections.
More Customization Options
Waistband - Sleek and functional, belt loops offer the option to accessorize, while a plain waistband offers a more minimalist finish. Side Tabs are versatile, and allow for some additional flexibility in waistband size.
Suspender Buttons - Select no belt loops or side tabs on your waistband customization and pair with European style suspender buttons for a unique look, or keep the belt loops and add suspender for a pair of pants ready for all occasions.
